FAQ
Is there a free trial?
Yes — every new account automatically starts with 30 days of Pro, free. No credit card required. When the trial ends you roll to the Free tier unless you upgrade; nothing is ever charged automatically.
What's a Quick Split, exactly?
A one-off shareable receipt split. You scan a receipt, assign each line item to the people who ordered it (tax, tip, and fees split proportionally), and send a pay link. Recipients open the link, see what they owe, and pay you back through Venmo, PayPal, or Cash App. They never sign up for Split. Best for nights out, drinks, dinner with friends-of-friends — anywhere setting up a persistent Group would be overkill.
Do I need a credit card to sign up?
No. The Free tier is forever free and doesn't ask for payment info. You can use Split without ever upgrading.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Pro is month-to-month. Cancel from Settings → Plan and you'll keep Pro features until the end of your current billing period.
How does billing work on iOS / Android?
Pro is also available as an in-app subscription on the App Store and Google Play, billed through your Apple ID or Google account, same price.
What happens to my data if I downgrade?
Nothing is deleted. If a group has more than 5 members or you have more than 3 groups when you downgrade, you keep read access to everything you already created — you just can't add new beyond the Free limits until you upgrade again.
